Thanks Ralph.

I was very fortunate to have had the honour of knowing Ralph in person for a short, but vital period of time when he was my second supervisor on my PhD on the DMan program.

It would be foolish of me to pretend that I could describe in any detail someone with such a broad and informed understanding of his and others lifelong experiences - my knowing him being far too brief and my ability to express his experiences in any meaningful way being far too limited - so I will have to suffice with sharing my overriding experience of Ralph as being the most caring human I have ever met with the most beautiful mind and a humility borne out of his seemingly effortless ability of taking a self-conscious, reflective, reflexive attitude unto himself, which of course was true to his own beliefs.

I found the photo below of him on t'internet. for me this was Ralph.

I had observed this look from him many a time before a conference at Roffey park where he was due to speak next. No flamboyant entrance or entourage, no dancing girls or loud Rock music to announce his arrival. Just him, humbly sitting there before sharing his remarkable and unique insights with us

Thank you Ralph.
