Sorry to hear of Ralph's death. I first came across Ralph on the Diploma of Management Studies course over 30 years ago - at the then Polytechnic's campus at Wall Hall in Hertford. He was certainly challenging - I remember a fair amount of initial resistance from my existing prejudices, but over time I came to appreciate analysing situations from his clear, precise and emotionally detached viewpoint - lessons I have carried with me since Jamie Day DMS 1989/91
